About the Program

IN RESPONSE: is an annual collaboration between the Jewish Museum and Columbia University’s School of the Arts that began in 2014. Visual Arts MFA candidates and recent alumni participate in a semester-long workshop and create new video, sound, and performance work in response to an exhibition at the Museum.

IN RESPONSE: is organized by Chris Gartrell, Associate Manager of Adult Programs and Jenna Weiss, Manager of Public Programs, the Jewish Museum, with Shelly Silver, Associate Professor, Columbia University School of the Arts.

This website was designed by the Jewish Museum Creative Services team: Yeliz Secerli, Director of Design, Naomi Shultz, Graphic Designer, and Dana Citrin, Production Associate.
